Our Business program offers five concentration options - Management, Food Service Management, Professional Cookery, Personal Chef & Catering, and Baking & Pastry. Through an immersive approach to learning, our students get to practice concepts learned in real-life business settings, as well as gain both the technical and highly desirable professional skills they need to succeed - no matter what career path they choose.

Classes are scheduled to meet student needs. Kendall understands that today's students have busy lives, so we offer flexible scheduling options. With year-round classes, full-time students can complete a bachelor's degree in business in as little as three years. In addition to our traditional daytime program, we also offer full and part-time combined online/Saturday programs for working adults.

Our Business program concentration options:

  • Concentrations in Professional Cookery, Personal Chef & Catering, or Baking & Pastry:
    For students who wish to pursue careers in the restaurant, catering or food and beverage industries, these concentrations provide hands-on culinary classes that complement the program's business courses. These courses are taught at night and on weekends.

  • Management Concentration:
    Graduates of this concentration are ready to hit the ground running in decision-making positions. They gain a solid foundation in management capabilities with coursework such as business innovation, entrepreneurship and global leadership. Through their studies and internships, which may include study abroad, they graduate ready to contribute to successful enterprises worldwide.

  • Food Service Management - NEW!:
    Jobs are available and in increasing demand for people who understand both general business operations and the food service industry, which encompasses those establishments, institutions and companies responsible for large-scale food preparation outside the home. This industry includes chain and franchise restaurants; school, corporate and hospital cafeterias; catering operations and many other organizations where large quantities of food are packaged, prepared and/or served either on or off-site. Positions in most demand are food service managers, operations managers, procurement managers and food sales representatives. Graduates with this concentration could expect to hold leadership roles in chain restaurants, nursing and residential care facilities, sports and entertainment complexes, educational services, schools and food service companies. In addition to taking core business program classes, students will take concentration courses such as Logistics of Food Service Management, Quantity Food Service/Production, Human Nutrition, Food and Beverage Management, Consumer Behavior and Ingredients.
