With a concentration in either Human Resources Management or Organizational Psychology, you can help companies manage people - increasing job satisfaction, resolving conflict, developing leaders and managing change.

To address this need, Kendall focuses on an immersive, hands-on approach that includes a 10-week industry internship and an optional integrative senior project at the culmination of its program.
Kendall's curriculum offers a concentration in:
- Advanced Studies in Psychology
- Organizational Psychology
- Human Resources Management
This progressive program includes traditional courses such as Social Psychology and Abnormal Psychology but also focuses on unique professional development courses such as Leadership and Group Dynamics, Psychology of Business and Industry and Professional Development.
If you choose the Advanced Studies in Psychology concentration, Kendall's B.A. in Psychology prepares you for graduate study at the master's level and eventually at the doctoral level.
The B.A. in Psychology delivers these critical learning outcomes:
- Application of psychological concepts to real-world situations
- Critical evaluation of psychological research
- Evaluation of case studies by applying psychological theories and business practices
- Analysis of interpersonal situations in the workplace
- Hands-on experience through an internship experience
The B.A. in Psychology supports the Kendall core academic competencies needed for professional success:
Quantitative Literacy: Students take two math courses including Statistics; aspiring graduate students or those who wish to develop more quantitative skills can take Research Methods and Tests and Measurements.
Critical Thinking: Courses designed to hone critical thinking skills include Organizational Communication, Personal Values and Ethics, Group Dynamics, Leadership in the Services Industry, and the Integrative Senior Project.
Research and Synthesis of Information: Several courses are designed to develop skills in research and interpretation of data such as Composition II, Psychological Foundations of Organizational Change, Leadership in Services Industries, and Research Methods.
Communication: Critical communications skills are enhanced through Composition and Organizational Communication, language courses and Labor Relations.
Technological Literacy: Students master technology skills through Principles of Computer Applications and Technology and Innovation.
Discipline-Specific Outcomes: Students will understand the interrelationships between psychology, business and service. This combination of skills will help students apply psychological understanding to the workplace as they focus on both individual and organizational improvement.
